This guide to the 2021 Wrangler Rubicon 392 power specs and capability is here to give you an inside look at what this new Wrangler has to offer.
2021 Wrangler Rubicon 392 V8 Engine
The 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 marks the first time a V8 Wrangler engine has been a part of the Jeep lineup in nearly 40 years. The 6.4-liter V8 engine delivers specifically tuned power with an output of 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
Capability and off-roading are key to the performance of the Wrangler, which is why the setup and power delivery of this engine is so exciting. Almost 75 percent of the peak torque in the Wrangler Rubicon 392 is available just above the engine’s idle speed. This means that this Jeep is capable of providing a thrilling performance on and off the road, whether you are going 60 mph to crawling at 5 mph.
The engine inside of the Wrangler is paired to a fully electric TorqueFlite 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission. With this transmission in place the Wrangler Rubicon 392 can make crisp and quick gear changes in any driving conditions.
